The award-winning, new music documentary on the Japanese rock group X  JAPAN titled 'WE ARE X'--from Passion Pictures--has won the SXSW Film Festival Audience Award for "Excellence In Title Design" (

NPR’s World Cafe, produced by XPN in Philadelphia, brought the show to Asheville’s The Grey Eagle on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 for sold out evening of entertainment with Jon Stickley Trio and The Honeycutters, two Asheville-based bands who have both been making headlines across the country.

Greener Grounds announces Spring Into Summer Tour presented by The Untz. The bands second national tour will begin April 2nd and will span through July, kicking off in Telluride, Colorado with two nights at the legendary Fly Me to the Moon Saloon. The band will head next to Arizona for two performances before a stretch of dates through Iowa and Chicago, en route to Paradise Music & Arts Festival in Ohio.

CoCreate Boulder puts the spotlight on Colorado musicians, artists and brands, bringing fresh life to the artistic scene in Boulder. The evening will feature 2 bands, 1 DJ, an array of visual artists and boutique craft vendors as well as a brewery, distillery, winery, non-alcoholic beverage and food vendor, all local to Colorado. Activities will include classic games, a wooden puzzle and a group craft project to round out a cozy atmosphere.

Umphrey’s McGee late-night set at Wanee Music Festial will feature select mash-up songs interwoven throughout the performance.  The Umphrey’s McGee mashups debuted on Halloween in 2008, and have become a highly anticipated live experience each year.  This marks the first time the band will feature multiple mashups outside the context of Halloween, a special treat for Wanee attendees.

The Gent Jazz Festival is announcing new names for its 15th year. On Friday 8 July, Pat Metheny & Ron Carter, John Scofield – Brad Mehldau – Mark Guiliana and De Beren Gieren are coming to the Bijloke Site in Ghent. Saturday 9 July sees concerts performed by Max Richter: from Sleep & The Blue Notebook and Matthew Halsall & The Gondwana Orchestra, with Jill Scott, Lianne La Havas and The James Hunter Six on Sunday 14 July. Closing the festival on Saturday 16th July is dEUS ‘Soft Electric’, among others.
