The mixtape comes on the heels of the band's announcement of their fall North American headlining "Get On Up" tour, featuring support from The Floozies on most dates. The "Get On Up" tour--named for their critically acclaimed single that was recently featured in the June 8 episode of FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance" during their Detroit auditions--kicks off September 30 in Boise and takes the acclaimed electronic music duo of saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken throughout the West Coast, stopping in Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Spokane, Park City, Missoula, Eugene, Reno and Oakland before wrapping October 11 in Arcata, CA. Before kicking off their own fall tour, BIG GIGANTIC has a slew of festival appearances coming up this summer including Camp Bisco, SlossFestival, HARD Summer, Moonrise Festival, Shambhala Music Festival, Summer Set, KAABOO Del Mar and TomorrowWorld. Additionally, the Boulder, CO-based group will host "ROWDYTOWN IV," the fourth installment of their massive hometown experience at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Set for Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, "ROWDYTOWN IV" will again feature projection mapping visuals on the venue's famous rocks and different support lineups each night featuring hotly tippedup-and-coming talent with Thomas Jack, Jauz, and DeFunk on Friday (9/25) and RL Grime, Snails, and Two Fresh on Saturday (9/26). Plus, BIG GIGANTIC will start off each night with a "Big Gigantic Mixtape 2009/2010," playing a mix of older tunes with a full live band featuring The Motet.
