The Congress, Denver’s fastest growing rock band is heading out on the road to support their new album “Whatever You Want” through a slew of dates through the South East and beyond. The Congress’ debut full-length album, recorded at Denver’s Silo Sound by John Macy, represents the raw rock and emotion that has become synonymous with The Congress sound. Containing all original songs written by both Jonathan Meadows and Scott Lane, and supported by drummer Mark Levy, the album conjures up all that you love about classic sounding rock albums with modern day twists. This tour will be the bands first in the South East since releasing “Whatever You Want”. Jonathan and Scott both grew up in Virginia and eventually came together to host an open jam in Richmond, VA. When Scott eventually moved to Colorado, he insisted that Jonathan move out and start a band in the Mile High City. With just a backpack and a guitar, Jonathan joined Scott in Denver and started The Congress. Obviously still influenced by their southern roots, it is always with great excitement when they head south and this run of shows will be a mix of coming home and coming out.The Congress has opened up for Johnny Lang, Rose Hill Drive, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and Band Of Heathens among many others.Tour Dates:9/8 Town Point Park- Norfolk, VA9/13 The Southern- Charlottesville, VA9/14 The Jewish Mother- Norfolk, VA w/ PBR9/15 The Camel- Richmond, VA w/ Lake Street Dive9/17 Jack of the Wood- Asheville, NC9/18 Preservation Pub- Knoxville, TN9/20 Hill Country BBQ- Washington, DC9/21 Clementine Café- Harrisonburg, VA w/ Hackensaw Boys9/22 Town Square Stage- Bethlehem, PA9/24 Oneonta Theater- Oneonta, NY10/4 Albino Skunk Bluegrass Festival- Greer, SC10/5 5 Spot- Atlanta, GA w/ Parker Smith and the Bandwith10/11 Blue Canoe- Tupelo, MS10/12 Proud Larry’s- Oxford, MS10/13 Harvest Festival- Ozark, AR
