Festival at the Farm 9/16+17 @ Prowse Farm

Festival at the Farm, the music festival on September 16th and 17th at Prowse Farm in Canton, Massachusetts, announced set times, Kids Zone Activities and charity partners. Presented on alternating stages, the weekend-long celebration features live music from Lettuce, Brett Dennen, The Wood Brothers, Martin Sexton, Lee Fields and the Expressions, The Marcus King Band, and much more. Family-favorite Josh and the Jamtones will perform on both Saturday and Sunday.  Set times are as follows:

The Free Range Kids Zone will feature kid’s entertainment including storytelling with Big Joe the Storyteller, magic with Awesome Robb, and  Amazing Animal Ambassadors, hands-on games, A Pop-Up Bookstore will be set up in conjunction with the non-profit More Than Words to bring a mini version of a kids bookstore to Festival at the Farm!  In addition, there will be Family-Friendly Festival Yoga, a Hoopla Zone with Hula-Hooping Fun from Bring the Hoopla, Performer Josh and the Jamtones will open up the festival both days.

Community partners at the 2017 festival focus largely on bringing healthy, organic or humanely farmed food to the community and stewardship of the environment.  This year’s partners include National Young Farmers, Certified Humane, B Lab, The Carrot Project, ChopChop Kids, Friends of Blue Hills and Brookwood Community Farm.

In addition, Festival at the Farm will host locally-sourced and inspired food vendors, culinary workshops and demos from ChopChop Kids, a farmers market featuring local farmers and food products, and a marketplace supporting talented area artists, crafters and vendors selling handmade items and a variety of interesting goods.

Festival at the Farm takes place at historic Prowse Farm in Canton, a 44-acre property managed by the Friends of Prowse Farm, a non-profit volunteer organization. The property is located at the gateway of the Blue Hills Reservation, public parkland that has been set aside for recreational use. Free parking is available on the Prowse Farm grounds.

Tickets for the festival are currently on sale at www.festivalatthefarm.com.  Tickets are priced affordably at $45 per day and $75 for two-day passes.  Kids under five are admitted free of charge. Tickets for kids aged 6-12 are $15 for a single day pass and $20 for a two-day pass.

A limited number of two-day VIP passes are still available for $200 for a two-day pass.  VIP ticket holders will enjoy preferred concert viewing, a private bar and lounge along with other amenities and an exclusive dinner, created by Nookie Postal, owner/chef of the award-winning Commonwealth Cambridge. Postal, a finalist in the Bravo network shows Around the World in 80 Plates, was also the executive chef at Boston’s landmark Fenway Park.
