Wrapping up a busy summer with sets at Summer Camp, Gathering of the Vibes, Rootwire and the approaching Catskill Chill Music Festival, Jimkata announces the release of their first official live album, 10 More Songs!, due out in October. This fall the Ithaca based four-piece will also head back to the studio with Die Digital producer Jocko Randall to record the follow-up EP while embarking on their national tour.Following a year of touring behind their innovative record, Die Digital, Jimkata is excited to release their first live album entitled 10 More Songs! which documents the long miles and countless hours spent honing the newer compositions and reworking old favorites. Straddling the line between electronic dance music (EDM) and rock n’ roll has afforded Jimkata the opportunity to continue expanding their signature brand of song-oriented electro-rock. This evolved Jimkata approach features Ableton driven soundscapes framed by dynamic acoustic and electronic drums. Heavy bass notes are colored with analog synthesizers and soaring guitars, all presented within the structure of pure indie rock. From intimate club shows to festival sets at Summer Camp, Camp Bisco, Gathering of the Vibes and Mountain Jam, Jimkata has consistently backed up their reputation for creating high-energy dance parties. For fans however, the show doesn't end when the lights come up. Jimkata’s relevant, quotable lyrics create music not just for the fleeting moments, but also for the lifestyle of an entire generation.Ten More Songs!
