Philadelphia musician, Josh Machiz, releases his first solo work with a mysteriously eerie instrumental track, "Murakami's Ghost". The track is made up of vocals, bass, & found percussion, all layered in an inviting, yet unsettling way the deeper you dive into the track. You can't help but feel engulfed in the track's unique sound from beginning to end. "Murakami's Ghost" is all part of Josh's upcoming album, due out later this year.

Josh Machiz on the "Murakami's Ghost": "The song 'Murakami's Ghost' is based on the Murakami short story, 'The Mirror'; it was developed out of a project where I was performing improvised sets based on Short Story Collections".

Josh Machiz has several notable achievements in Philly's music community playing for the likes of TJ Kong & The Atomic Bomb, Dirty Dollhouse, BalletX, along with this newly launched, self-titled solo project this year. Josh is also a well-respected stand-up comedian in Philly. He has performed at such prestigious venues as Lincoln Center (with Tareke Ortiz), Kimmel Center, and The Guggenheim. He's also curated the Grin & Beer It Comedy Show, which attracted national headlines such as Kate Willett, Usama Sididquee, and Dina Hashem. Josh has also had his stand-up featured on Amazon Prime's 2018 Turnpike Comedy Festival. He's also recently launched a new comedy web series "Josh Matchstick: Tiny Cruiseship Comedian".
