unk-fusion quintet Kung Fu is excited to announce plans for their fourth annual Toys for Tots Holiday Spectacular at Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT. Since launching the annual event, the band has helped to collect and donate more than $13,000 in new and unwrapped toys to area hospitals and organizations. This year, Kung Fu has extended the event to a two-night run taking place Friday, December 19 & Saturday, December 20. They hope to collect an entire box truck full of toys to be donated to US Marines’ families, local hospitals and families in need this holiday season.
"Nothing compares to the feeling of delivering a thousand toys, four days before Christmas, to the families of children who might not receive a gift during the holidays,” says Todd Stoops, Kung Fu keyboard player. “For the fourth year running, our band has the opportunity to give back to the community that fostered our creative efforts and dreams, while at the same time creating a forum for our hometown fans, friends, and family to do so as well. I couldn't be more proud of this event!”
"This is a night to celebrate and give back," says Tim Palmieri, Kung Fu guitarist. "It's incredible, really. We have the time of our lives during the show and then when you think it can't get any better, we get to play Santa to children who really need something to smile about. It's truly something special, and we are so grateful to everyone who helps to make it a success.”

Tickets can be purchased through Toad's Place at the box office or online at www.toadsplace.com. Guests can receive half price admission before 9pm on day-of-show tickets by bringing a new and unwrapped toy, but tickets may be sold out by then so fans are encourage to purchase tickets in advance.
