The 2021 lineup for Railbird Festival has been revealed and it is stacked with several amazing acts spanning multiple genres. The two-day festival will be held August 28-29, 2021.

Saturday headliners Dave Matthews Band and Sunday headliners My Morning Jacket will set the tone for the weekend, although dozens of other bands and artists are included on the lineup.

Additional acts include Leon Bridges, Billy Strings, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Black Puma, Band of Horses, The Revivalists, Margo Price, and several more Americana, bluegrass, folk, and alternative artists. In total, there are more than 30 artists scheduled to perform on three stages throughout the two days of Railbird.

This is the second installment of the Lexington, Kentucky, based festival, which debuted in 2019 and was cancelled in 2020. Railbird is returning to the Grounds at Keeneland, one of Kentucky’s most famous horse racing tracks. Parts of the track and various areas around the fairgrounds will be open, creating a one-of-a-kind setting for the festival. With more events beginning to resurface after being cancelled last year, fans are certainly excited to hear that this unique festival experience will be returning for another chance.

“While we all missed live music and experiences tremendously last year, the Railbird team looked at it as a time to build on the success of our inaugural festival and come back even better than before,” said festival producer David Helmers. “We’ve been planning intensely and are excited for the festival’s return to Keeneland with a list of world-class artists, bourbon and culinary experiences.”

Kentucky natives and bourbon lovers who will be traveling to bourbon country will be excited to hear that there is an impressive lineup of special bourbons that will be available throughout the weekend as well. According to Railbird’s website, “The Rickhouse is a highly curated Bourbon experience, with hand-selected barrels from Kentucky’s finest distilleries and immersive whiskey experiences.”

If the bluegrass music and barrels of bourbon weren’t enough to drive home the Kentucky feeling, you can head to the Lucky Day Plaza to watch and bet on active horse races in their air-conditioned lounge area.
