Rufus Wainwright 'Unfollow The Rules' debuts #8 on Billboard's Americana/Folk Chart

Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright’s Unfollow The Rules already critically lauded, proves to be a commercial success too across the world with the album bowing at #8 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Chart and #12 landing at on The Independent Album Chart. In the UK the album was the #8 physical album and #27 best-selling album.

The praise in the press for Unfollow The Rules has been global with the majority of the reviews being either 4 out of 5's or 9 out of 10's. In the US, NPR All Songs Considered's Robin Hilton calls the album, “Just extraordinary, just breathtaking...” and Pitchfork recognizes Rufus' work with, “an opulently crafted highlight reel, a career-spanning sampler of the singer’s many styles and guises.” In the UK's, CLASH gives the album a 9/10 calling it, "a timely reminder of everything that’s wonderful about Wainwright," while Mojo’s 4 star review says, “Unfollow The Rules showcases Wainwright’s skills in the highest definition.” And The Guardian raves, "a lush, engaging study in domestic bliss."
