Sing Out for Seva @ Fillmore: Benefit Concert Supports Blindess Prevention

The Seva Foundation, a Berkley-based charitable organization dedicated to the prevention of blindness around the globe, will celebrate their 35th Anniversary with a benefit concert on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Fillmore in San Francisco, CA.

Hosted by Seva's charismatic co-founder, humanitarian activist Wavy Gravy, "Sing Out for Seva" will feature performances by five-time Grammy-winners, the Blind Boys of Alabama, New Orleans' heavy-hitting funk collective, Dumpstaphunk, legendary rock band, Hot Tuna, and several special guests.

In the past 35 years, Seva has restored eyesight to nearly 3.5 million people with programs reaching many of  the poorest corners of the world, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Pakistan, Nepal, Tibet, India, Africa and Native American communities in the US. In some of these countries, Seva’s programs account for between 25% and 50% of all eye surgeries performed annually.
