The 5th annual SnowGlobe Music Festival returned to one of the country’s most stunning mountain landscapes – the Sierra Nevada Mountains – for a music festival, ski/snowboard adventure, and destination New Year’s Eve celebration all rolled into one. Throughout the festival, which attracted 16,000 attendees each night, fans enjoyed live music performances by 50 world-class artists performing, Big Air snowboard and ski showcases in between sets, unique art installations, fireworks displays, and more.

On Tuesday, December 29, heavy hitters Claude Vonstroke, Jack U (featuring Diplo and Skrillex), Duke Dumont and E-40 kicked off the three-day festival. Devoted Globe–ers packed outside the festival gates in anticipation of festival doors opening. Once inside the venue, attendees enjoyed art installations in the outdoor Forest Lounge and a variety of hang spaces, including several enclosed heated bars. In addition to Main Stage performances, SnowGlobe’s Sierra Tent hosted artists including Vanic and NGHTMRE, while Justin Martin, Shiba San and others performed the Igloo Stage.

Day two of SnowGlobe 2015 continued on with electrifying results.  Early SnowGlobe-ers caught Orphic open the Sierra Tent, which stayed packed with fans all day.  Jai Wolf, Bob Mose, Alison Wonderland and Cut Copy all had Day Two sets in the Sierra Tent.  Highlights at the Main Stage included Chet Faker, Eric Prydz and Kaskade, who closed out the night.

By Thursday, December 31, vibe was thick and festivities were at a peak. Ghostland Observatory, G-Eazy, and Dillon Francis topped the bill.  Crowd pleasers Run the Jewels, Goldlink and Big Wild powered the crowd. Superduperkyle crowd surfed, on a surfboard.

Of course it’s not New Year’s Eve without a countdown.  What So Not, the project by producer Emoh Instead, helped SnowGlobe usher in the New Year. The DJ and the sold out crowd counted down to midnight  and a huge firework display followed, while What So Not played on.

Another epic New Year’s celebration at SnowGlobe Music Festival.  Hello 2016.
