As STS9 prepares to wrap the year with Mayan Holidaze in Mexico and five nights in Atlanta for New Year’s Eve, the acclaimed Santa Cruz-based instrumental electronic rock band has just announced dates for their 2014 Winter Tour.

The 24-date headlining run will kick off January 23 at the House of Blues in San Diego, followed by a return to the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles the next night (1/24). From there, the tour will stop in Oakland, Lake Tahoe and Salt Lake City before back-to-back nights at the Belly Up in Aspen and the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver. Next, they’ll hit the Midwest with stops in Lincoln, Minneapolis, Des Moines, Milwaukee, Chicago and Grand Rapids before making their way down the east coast hitting Buffalo, Portland and Providence. STS9 will make their debut at the legendary Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY for 2 shows over Presidents Day weekend and then will wrap the tour with stops in Washington, DC, Norfolk, Asheville and Knoxville. See below for the full list of tour dates. Fan club tickets for the Winter Tour went on sale this morning (11/7) exclusively at www.sts9store.com. General tickets will go on-sale starting this Saturday, November 9 with select shows available tomorrow Friday, November 8 or Thursday, November 14 (see below for specific details).

To close out such a tremendous year, STS9 will be returning to the Mayan Riviera for the 2013 edition of Mayan Holidaze at the Now Sapphire Resort in Puerto Morelos, Mexico December 16-20 along with friends Umphrey’s McGee and the Disco Biscuits and special guests Big Gigantic, Papadosio, Cherub, Orchard Lounge and DrFameus. From there, STS9--hailed as “one of the country’s most intriguing, innovative outfits around” by XLR8R--will perform 5 shows at The Tabernacle in Atlanta December 27-31 to officially ring in 2014. Once this New Year’s run wraps, the band will have sold-out The Tabernacle over 30 times, marking the most performances at that venue by any band.

STS9Hunter Brown (guitar/keys), Jeffree Lerner (percussion), David Murphy (bass/synths), David Phipps (keyboards) and Zach Velmer (drums)—is currently touring with their largest production ever, earning them rave reviews throughout 2013. Building off the groundbreaking 2012 “Great Cycle Spectacle” design, the band is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to delivering one of the most visually stunning shows on the road today. As noted by Jayme Barouch from MOTORCITYBLOG, “the light sequencing and display rivaled some of the best that I’ve seen from masters of the electronic lightshow like Daft Punk, Amon Tobin and Deadmau5” (4/15/13).
