This evening, April 23rd, Portland, OR’s own Fruition premieres a pro-shot full length concert film that captures the biggest headline show of their career.  Tonight caps a five week run of weekly hangs with their fans on their Facebook page called “The Thursday Thing with Fruition”.  Each of the bands’ three singers Mimi Naja, Kellen Asebroek, and Jay Cobb Anderson have hosted a Thursday night, playing Fruition originals, covers, and solo tunes from their homes.

Given the challenging times we are facing around the world, Positive Legacy & Cloud 9 Adventures have aligned to do what they do best: spread joy and give back to the music community in need. Together they proudly present a COVID-19 Relief Fund & Program to benefit event gig workers who have been actively involved with live music events and are currently out of work.

To celebrate Earth Day 2020, the California Roots Music and Arts Festival is proud to announce their expansive greening initiatives and partnerships for 2020. The 11th annual festival has been rescheduled, with 100% of the lineup intact, to take place October 9-11 at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center.

Mile Twelve is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the acoustic music world. The Boston-based quintet combines a modern indie aesthetic, bluegrass instrumental skills honed at some of the best music schools in the world, and songwriting that deftly conjures haunting images of the past and twisted versions of the future.

“Not the End” was born out of the desire for hope in despairing times, exploring if fate can be altered.  “I was feeling overwhelmed by the declining state of the world and inspired to figure a way out.

"To my ears, the best Dead shows are those that not only fit the criteria that make them amongst the best of a year, but that are also completely unique for their era—shows that fit perfectly into their year of performance, but also fall somewhat outside of the norm for that year. Harpur College, Veneta, Cornell, Cape Cod, and Augusta are all shows that are objectively excellent, and if they are not the best from their respective years of performance, they are certainly unique.

While millions of people are becoming accustomed to virtual gatherings and live streaming of music events during the current coronavirus pandemic, for the non-profit Melodic Caring Project (www.melodiccaring.org), it has been a way of life throughout its nearly 10-year history. The Seattle-based 501c3 charity has been bringing personalized live music performances by a wide range of touring artists directly to the hospital beds of sick children in various forms of isolation or quarantine since 2011.
