After a tumultuous and trying year away, the amazing and one of a kind musical and artistic event Suwannee Hulaween will return this year, set to take place once again in Live Oak, Florida from October 27 through October 31. In a land of big time festivals, Hulaween is one of the best.

‘Jake & Friends’ – the upcoming album from the acclaimed Hawai’i-born ‘ukulele player Jake Shimabukuro – features a who’s who of music royalty, so it’s only fitting that Shimabukuro release not one, but two new singles from the album today, with artists as diverse as Jack Johnson, Paula Fuga, and Kenny Loggins.
 

New song out today from octogenarian Norman Blake, a legend of American music. "Time" is pretty special, I think it's kind of Norman's thesis statement for his new album Day by Day, coming Oct 22 on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. It's got a deep biblical feel to it, basically it's his musings on time and his long love of the American past. Have a listen and more info on the album below. Today, Tim Kelly announced Ride Through the Rain, his debut album produced by his son, acclaimed artist Ruston Kelly. The album is out on November 5 and includes nine original songs spanning from his teenage years to the present day, showcasing Kelly as an artist with relatable real-life songs and a perspective honed over decades. In addition to the announcement, Tim Kelly has offered the album’s first single, “Leave This Town,” along with a live performance of the song featuring Ruston.

Dolly Parton is an American treasure who continues to captivate one generation after another. Following her GRAMMY-winning bluegrass album 'The Grass Is Blue’ (1999), Parton hinted at another bluegrass-adjacent album in the works earlier this summer. Featured on the upcoming project are virtuosic musicians Jim VanCleve, Barry Abernathy and Darrell Webb, who make up three parts of “roots supergroup” (NPR) Appalachian Road Show.
