Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Festival

Date:
Fri, 06/14/2013 - 16:00 to Sun, 06/16/2013 - 19:30

This year Palisade is celebrating it’s 5th year of hosting the Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Festival in Riverbend Park with headliners Justin Townes Earle, The Devil Makes Three, Joy Kills Sorrow, Pokey LaFArge and Paper Bird. Set among the stately cottonwoods along the banks of the Colorado River, and situated against the backdrop of Mt. Garfield, the Bookcliffs and the Grand Mesa, the Festival’s outdoor setting is second to none. PB&R is bringing some of the best traditional and contemporary Americana musicians to the Grand Valley over the three-day Festival. The Festival will also feature yoga, music workshops, jam sessions, local wines, craft beers, hand-mixed drinks, delicious foods, artisinal goods, a kid’s activity tent, and guided hikes and bike rides to natural, cultural and archaeological sites. Palisade is known as the Peach and Wine Capital of Colorado with the state’s greatest concentration of wineries, vineyards and orchards making it an ideal location for a weekend music festival and getaway.
