Andrew Bird

Andrew Bird announces more than a dozen new North American dates on his upcoming Inside Problems tour. Beginning with a headline set at Big Ears Festival this Friday, the cross-country run has now been extended from spring to summer, including a stop in Los Angeles, plus several amphitheaters throughout the West Coast, multiple shows in Canada, a return to his native Illinois and more with support from Uwade.

Webster’s dictionary defines the word community as “a unified body of individuals with common interests living in a particular area” and the municipality of Fort Collins, Colorado may demonstrate this theme better than most conglomerates its size. From safe, city-wide bike lanes to a plethora of year-round family-oriented events and activities, the community is a common thread seen throughout the face of infrastructure as well as the citizenry.

Monday, December 5th, The GRAMMY Museum presented Andrew Bird to the Clive Davis Theater for a conversation about his career and latest album "Are You Serious." A release he considered a rigorous recording giving the dying format of CDs 'one last shot'.

The intimate 226 seat theater was sold out for this hour and 40 minute presentation. Devout fans were treated to an upfront and personal peak into Bird, his work, musical approach and unknowns bits to his career back story.

Have you ever been to the Taste of Chicago? All in all it is a fantastic experience, one not to be missed but there are always headaches that go along with attending, ie the heat and humidity, long lines and traffic. Every year even if it is just for a moment you ponder how nice it would be not to have to deal with the headache. This is the best way I can describe the Death Cab for Cutie show at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO on July 14th 2009.
