Cali Roots Veterans Pepper has been known to call the California Roots Music & Arts Festival the “Super Bowl” of the genre, and over the last decade, it has proven time and time again that it represents the apex of what reggae can be in America. It has passed every festival that inspired it inspired it by countless lengths in virtually every way.

Veteran R&B / blues icon Garrett Duton (G. Love) of G. Love & Special Sauce returns to Nauset Beach this fall for a reprisal of his inaugural sell-out event, the Cape Cod Roots & Blues Festival. The one-day celebration of music, community, and Cape Cod beach culture will take place September 14, 2019 in Orleans, Massachusetts, with sets from Citizen Cope, Chadwick Stokes and The Pintos, Mihali (of Twiddle), Clearcola, plus a generous helping of G.

One Lovely Day", the title track from Citizen Cope’s new album, is premiering today on Rolling Stone.com.  The song has been a staple in Cope’s live set, and originally written for fellow DC musician and friend

On Saturday night Clarence Greenwood, aka Citizen Cope made a solo acoustic appearance before a sold-out crowd at the Fox Theatre in Boulder.

As I said, I had gone back to camp earlier to make sure things were as secured as possible and to attach the tent to the car just in case I needed to sleep in there that night. Good thing I had.  I awoke about 4 a.m. to raging winds and wicked rain.  I seemed securely attached…for now. The wind was blowing so hard that my tent was beginning to lean sideways.
