Cycles

As a committed Cycles fan, it felt like a long wait to see them headline the Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, especially because they have played quite a few large shows/venues in the past. For those of you who don’t know Cycles, they are a three-piece jam band that incorporates rock, jazz, hip-hop, soul, funk, and more. They have three albums available to listen to on Spotify; each one is amazing in its own way.

On Friday, August 31st 2018, following the destruction of Dick’s Sporting Goods Park by Phish…Denver’s own, Cycles, will take the stage at city’s favorite rock club, Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in the midnight hour to celebrate the beginning of what surely will be a weekend to remember.

Beanstalk Music Festival 2018 was one for the books, everyone! Where to begin… Imagine a festival with one of the best lineups the Colorado jam music scene has to offer in a beautiful location on the river, deep in the mountains. There was rafting, hiking, tubing, kayaking, paddle boarding, camping with friends, fantastic food, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and a full moon lighting your way at night. Those are all just the extra activities available at Beanstalk every year, but this particular line up was very special.

Sonic Bloom of Summer 2018 has successfully put on another festival with a little bit for everyone. Going into Sonic Bloom as a pretty hardcore jam band fan, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I knew a lot of the artists but just hadn’t experienced an electronic music festival like it before. I was blown away to find myself embracing another musical culture all over again and let me tell you why.

Denver based power trio, Cycles, have embarked on a substantial fall tour for 2017! The action kicked off in Colorado with two Phish Dick’s after parties followed by the Canyon Jam festival at the legendary Mishawaka Amphitheatre. Heading north out of Colorado, the trio completed a run of shows in Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho – supporting Kyle Hollingsworth (The String Cheese Incident). After a weekend in New Mexico, tour brings them out to the Northeast for their first time!

While Cycles has had a couple EP’s available on Spotify to listen to, they had still yet to record a debut album in the studio, until last week when they released their new album “Vacation”.  Over the course of the past couple of years the band has been together, they have created an extremely large amount of material that would leave one wondering; which songs would make the cut for the new album, and how they would sound in the studio compared to the live setting that many fans around the country have gotten used to.  For those o

Tenth Mountain Division revives the soul, spirit and eclectic intersection of influences that birthed rock’n’roll, afresh for the modern ear. Just a fancy way of saying that we’re bringing back classic rock, because that’s what we love! Originating from Boulder, CO, founders Winston Heuga (Mandolin) and MJ Ouimette (Electric/Acoustic Guitar) originally sought to create an acoustic bluegrass outfit. After a few years dedicated to playing bluegrass, the duo transitioned to an electrified, rock’n’roll sound.

Just over a year old and riding on the wave of their self-titled release, Cycles have discovered their role as a breathe of fresh air in the world of Jambands. Michael Wood, Patrick Harvey, and Tucker McClung meld to form one single powerful sonic force that’s been thrilling people around the country. Relentless touring has sharpened their skills and strengthened the musical bond between them.
