Today, the Boch Center re-introduced the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame (FARHOF), an education initiative located inside the iconic Wang Theatre in Boston. Led by industry experts and Folk, Americana and Roots musicians including Joan Baez, Bob Crawford, Keb’ Mo’, Noel Paul Stookey, and others, FARHOF celebrates the lifeblood of America’s musical and cultural heritage. Boch Center President and CEO Josiah Spaulding announced expanded programming that includes a series of upcoming exhibits and live shows coming to the Wang and Shubert Theatres.

Visionary guitarist Julian Lage has announced today’s release of his eagerly awaited new album, View With A Room, available everywhere now via Blue Note Records. Lage is marking today’s arrival of View With A Room by joining Blue Note President Don Was for a new episode of Blue Note Records Presents “First Look,” an in-depth conversation about the making of the new album, premiering today via YouTube. Also streaming now is a live performance video of the song "Temple Steps."

Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros—consisting of Bobby Weir, Don Was, Jay Lane and Jeff Chimenti—are heading out for a run of fall tour dates, kicking off September 30 at Waterbury, CT’s Palace Theater and concluding November 5 at Denver’s The Mission Ballroom, with stops in 13 cities including three nights at San Francisco’s The Warfield in celebration of Weir’s 75th birthday.

“They say the Grateful Dead played here about 14 times, in the old days,” said percussionist Mickey Hart as he took the stage on May 1 at the Frost Amphitheater on the Stanford University campus.

Venerable Grateful Dead co-founder Bob Weir led an epic spectacular on July 24, overseeing an ensemble performance at the legendary Greek Theatre on the University of California Berkeley campus.

In April, Bob Weir announced that he would be heading out to the Centennial State for four nights of canine revelry, outfitted not only with his brotherly band, but with the newly acquired Wolf Pack in tow.
