The Dustbowl Revival
“Beside You” is Dustbowl Revival’s enduring, emotionally stirring new single focused on love. The track is deeply influenced by the great Bill Withers, an amazing human I had the pleasure of knowing briefly. There are also obvious similarities between Van Morrison’s relaxed hallmark tone, Bob Dylan’s lyric poetry and even the sentiments presented in Sonny & Cher’s iconic duet, “I Got You Babe.” The slow instrumental rumble prefaces the fact that relationships are freaking hard.
Cut-to-heart folk rock sextet, Dustbowl Revival, are pleased to announce the release of a new single, “Beside You” available now across all streaming platforms.
“Beside You” was recorded initially in part of the Is it You, Is it Me sessions but as it presented a deep sentimental value, the band elected to release it as a stand-alone single, allowing it to stand on its own for listeners to feel its full emotion.
Liz Beebe is best known as the female powerhouse of the critically acclaimed band Dustbowl Revival. With an international touring schedule that spans over continents, and months on the road, Beebe found herself becoming an aunt in the midst of the madness. A desire to be present and contribute to the lives of her family and loved ones became what is her first lullaby album, Hush Now, Lullabies for Sleepy People.
Dustbowl Revival is an Americana and Soul band with eight full-time members who mash the sounds of New Orleans funk, bluegrass, soul, pre-war blues, and roots music, into a genre-hopping, time-bending dance party that coaxes new fire out of familiar coal. The band was founded in 2008 in the bohemian enclave of Venice Beach, California.
After two years away from the studio playing festivals and shows around the world, The Dustbowl Revival is sharing its first two tracks from their forthcoming new record. “Busted” b/w “Only One” will be available as a limited edition 7-inch and via all digital retailers on October 14 via Signature Sounds.
The Dustbowl Revival will come to Agave in Avon on Tues, Nov 15 and Larimer Lounge in Denver on Wed, Nov 16
