Songwriters Laurie Raveis and Dennis Kole of duo Raveis Kole are proud to release “Angel From Montgomery” on 8/28 along with a video via their digital platforms. The Bellingham, WA (an hour north of Seattle) based duo have always loved the classic John Prine song, and all that it envelopes as well as being a part of their live shows.

John Prine’s last recorded song, “I Remember Everything,” debuts this week at #1 on Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales chart making it the highest-charting single of his career as a performer.   

“I Remember Everything,” the last song recorded by legendary singer, songwriter, musician and performer John Prine, is out today (stream/purchase HERE). Written by Prine and his longtime collaborator Pat McLaughlin, the song was recorded last year in Prine’s living room with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb and engineer Gena Johnson. Grammy Award winning, Songwriters Hall of Fame Member John Prine passed away at age 73 due to Covid-19. Some of his most legendary hits include, “Hello in There,” “Sam Stone,” “Angel From Montgomery” and “Paradise.” Prine used these masterpieces to highlight moments that the average mind grazed over with empathetic words and light-hearted lines.

Tomorrow marks the 20th anniversary of John Prine’s beloved album, In Spite of Ourselves, which was originally released September 28, 1999 on Prine’s own independent label, Oh Boy Records. Prine’s first release after beating cancer, the 16-song record features a collection of duets with some of Prine’s favorite female country artists including the breakthrough title track—a duet with Iris DeMent. In the 20 years since it came out, “In Spite Of Ourselves” has become Prine’s most successful song with over 40 million streams.
