As another new year rolls in, I can’t say how excited I am to see the Grateful Dead family not only thriving but flourishing. We Deadheads can take pride in having become a borderless, boundless global community where a simple Steal-Your-Face sticker on your pack and a smile will find you a safe haven. And with thankfulness being one of the defining criteria of a Deadhead for the life-changing, enlightening experience the Dead brought to our lives, we have a healthy desire to express that gratitude. What is “it” we’re so thankful for?

The road to LOCKN' 2020 has officially begun with today’s announcement of next year’s very special edition of the beloved camping festival. After a standout set at LOCKN' Festival in Arrington, VA this past weekend–which welcomed Vulfpeck guitarist-extraordinaire Cory Wong and the horns from The Revivalists–Baltimore-based quartet, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, are excited to share their latest news, including one of their largest plays to date.

Trey Anastasio has released a new acoustic song, “Sunset Days.” The song, taken from the final scene of his acclaimed new feature-length documentary, Between Me and My Mind, is available now on all streaming services.

Proving that the Grateful Dead’s community and spirit prevails, LOCKN’s line-up weaves a colorful tapestry of tributes to the Dead and beyond. Renowned for its collaborative sets that put the biggest names in the jam scene together on one stage, next weekend will see Bob Weir and our favorite tributes to the Grateful Dead come together at Infinity Downs & Oak Ridge Farm in Nelson County, Virginia August 22 – 25.
