In 2022, The Marshall Tucker Band (MTB) will celebrate five decades since its inception. To celebrate, the multi-platinum southern rock group will hit the road for its historic “50th Anniversary Tour.” The MTB today revealed over 30 live concert dates with stops in Clearwater, Fla., Atlanta, Ga., Nashville, Tenn., Detroit, Mich., Chicago, Ill., New York, N.Y., Pittsburgh, Pa., Washington D.C., Phoenix, Ariz. and more.
 

The Birchmere concert hall in Alexandria, VA is a great space to see live music. The main performance room seats 500 and with seating on a first-come, first-seated basis, you can be as close to the band as the length of a dining table.

During the years I lived in town I got to see some major classic rock acts - Ray Davies, Peter Wolf, George Thorogood, and the Marshall Tucker Band - all from the front row. I’ll throw Greg Brown in there too, even though he doesn’t fall into the classic rock genre.

When THE MARSHALL TUCKER BAND played their 12/31/78 show at The Warehouse in New Orleans it was simulcast on over 150 radio stations nationwide, making it the most widely heard rock concert of its time. Now, Ramblin' Records is wide releasing the concert for the first time. Following a limited, exclusive release in conjunction with Record Store Day, New Year's In New Orleans: Roll Up '78 And Light Up '79! is now available on all digital platforms and gatefold double LP and 2-CD sets.

When THE MARSHALL TUCKER BAND played their 12/31/78 show at The Warehouse in New Orleans, it was simulcast on over 150 radio stations nationwide, making it the most widely-heard rock concert of its time. Now, RAMBLIN' RECORDS is releasing the concert on gatefold double LP and CD for the first time. The album will first be available at independent record stores only on November 29 as a "RSD First" in conjunction with Record Store Day's Black Friday event. It will then be available online and everywhere else in late January.
