It’s a cold and overcast Friday night in Asheville, NC but my spirits are anything other than soggy. I have been looking forward to this night for some time now, as The Campfire Caravan of The Lil' Smokies, The Brothers Comatose, and MIPSO rolls through Asheville’s premier club-venue The Orange Peel.
On Thursday, October 12th, the Campfire Caravan rolled into the Ogden Theatre, in Denver, Colorado and kicked up the energy in what was truly a full-on collaboration. Stop number fourteen, on a thirty plus city tour, the Campfire Caravan is a fifteen-musician crew featuring Mipso, The Brothers Comatose, and The Lil' Smokies.
Hot on the heels of their performance at the 18th annual Americanafest in Nashville, Chapel Hill’s acclaimed indie-Americana band Mipso are heading back on the road as part of the Campfire Caravan tour with The Brothers Comatose and The Lil Smokies. Kicking off on Tuesday, September 26th in Billings, MT, Campfire Caravan will make their way across the country, hitting over 30 cities on their way. The tour brings Mipso to the western half of the U.S.
Currently on the road in support of their recently released new album, Coming Down The Mountain, Mipso are coming to Avon and Keystone, CO as part of their Summer 2017 Album Release tour. On April 7th, 2017, acclaimed Chapel Hill quartet Mipso released their highly anticipated new album, Coming Down The Mountain, to rave reviews. It quickly shot up the Billboard album charts and debuted in the Top 5 of the Bluegrass Album Charts.
In support of their recently released new album, Coming Down The Mountain, Mipso announce additional tour dates to their current Summer 2017 Tour. Expanding to include dates on West Coast, including The Blue Note in Napa and Slim’s in San Francisco, Mipso have also added dates in the Southwest, bringing their praised live show to Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, GA, Gasa Gasa in New Orleans, Saturn in Birmingham, AL and more. All confirmed dates are listed below.
