Multifaceted instrumentalist and vocalist Nick Dunbar of Boulder County’s Mountain Standard Time lives and breathes the band on the run mentality. Knowing full well how the music industry is experiencing Kickstarter campaigns and grueling tours to make up for a lack of album sales, Dunbar and the band is striving to stay afloat and find that working balance. Fresh off of a fan-funded studio in which to record, Mountain Standard Time is hitting the Colorado Front Range this weekend with shows in Ft.

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign to build a recording studio, Mountain Standard Time is set to put out their second studio release, Highway Lines, on Tuesday, October 7th. Behind a summer in the newly-built MST Studios, the band seamlessly crafted a collection of MST fan-favorites and entirely new material.

Loyal fans of Nederland, Colorado’s Mountain Standard Time must be thrilled at the feats accomplished since their recalibration and return to touring in 2012. Long time members Nick Dunbar (mandolin), Stan Sutton (guitar) and Zach Scott (drums) welcomed Otis Lande on bass and Ryan Ebarb on keys.

It’s that time of the year again, as Colorado favorites Mountain Standard Time return to Colorado’s Front Range to throw their annual Mardi Grass celebration. MST created Mardi Grass four years ago to bring a New Orleans Mardi Gras party to the beautiful landscape of Colorado. After a successful close to a big festival season with appearances at Wakarusa, Horning's Hideout and headlining performances at Denver BrewGrass and NedFest, Mountain Standard Time has concluded their late summer tour along the West Coast, Utah, Montana, and finally back to their home state of Colorado.
