Garage A Trois return in the form from which they were born 22 years earlier with new studio album, 'Calm Down Cologne,' to be released April 16 via RPF Records. The title track is available across all streaming outlets today (listen/share). Comprised by guitarist Charlie Hunter, saxophonist Skerik and drummer Stanton Moore, OG GAT released its debut album, 'Mysteryfunk,' to wide acclaim in 1999.

Crescent City music legends George Porter, Jr., Ivan Neville, Anders Osborne and Stanton Moore will come together during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for 'Songbook Live' on Wednesday, April 29 at Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans. Presented by health and wellness charity 30Amp Circuit, this one night only engagement will feature four giants of New Orleans' music performing songs from throughout their individual repertoires, as well as, the music of others that has influenced them, while sharing the stories, memories and insights behind the music.

Galactic brought their twenty-fifth-anniversary tour and signature New Orleans funk to the Fillmore in Philadelphia, Pa, complete with special guests and throwback covers. Anjelika Jelly Joseph was on hand providing vocals and an engaging stage presence, as well as rapper Chali 2na.

KUVO, Dazzle, Central Presents and Feyline have teamed up to bring a legendary funk and jam music lineup to the historic and mystical mountain town of Central City, Colorado.

Central Jazz is the revival of the Central City Jazz Festival, which ran continuously from 1977 through 1992 and is resurfacing on June 9th, 2018 with an unparalleled lineup. This year will feature four stages in various locations throughout the town.

Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe have added eight additional dates in Spring 2018. The hard-touring funk juggernaut will play four more “Eat A Bunch Of Peaches” shows—their highly regarded celebration of The Allman Brothers Band—throughout the Southeast in mid-April.

There is unquestionably an art to the super jam. It can’t just be a bunch of talented musicians thrown onto one stage with a few hours of rehearsal, then go! There has to be context if not history, empathy between the players, and of course chemistry. Often times musicians of the same craft will have such different approaches that the live performance result is far from copacetic. One city that harbors an authentic understanding of musical collaboration is New Orleans.

Over the course of his 20-year career, drummer Stanton Moore has become known as one of the premier funk musicians of his generation. On his latest album Conversations, due April 15 from The Royal Potato Family, he moves in a slightly different direction, returning to his roots while reinventing his trademark sound.

When a renowned musician rolls through a music-oriented town such as Boulder, CO, area musicians will take notice. That’s exactly what happened when the Stanton Moore Trio made a stop at the beautiful Boulder Theater on December 2, 2010.
