Pulling melodies from some of history’s greatest composers, artist Father of the Vibe is set to debut an instrumental EP, A Thousand Words. This innovative project takes adaptations of Debussy, Bach, Bartok, and Tchaikovsky, raking them over the coals of reggae, resulting in a sound that is both organic and complex.

The EP is thematically inspired by a range of experiences and reflections, from the balance of work and life in "A Day In The Life" to the artist’s long struggle with auditory hallucinations in "What It Sounds Like." Each of the four songs serves as an unspoken story, each truly worth a thousand words.

Father of the Vibe, or simply “Father,” is comprised of former Echo Movement bandmates Dave Fowler and Colin Bell. Echo Movement was a heavily touring reggae-influenced band that garnered national attention until their hiatus in 2012.

A Thousand Words is set to go live on all streaming platforms on the first day of summer, June 20, 2024. The EP promises to offer listeners a unique blend of classical elegance and reggae rhythms, an auditory journey through reimagined masterpieces that resonate with both the past and the present.
