Lily Henley’s new album Oras Dezaoradas is out today! Dialoguing with centuries of Sephardic Jewish women across a global forced diaspora, Henley’s re-writing and re-working old Sephardic ballads in the endangered Ladino language, uncovering a heritage of fiercely independent women that kept these traditions alive over the years. She’s also writing new songs in Ladino, keeping the tradition fresh.

The Sweetwater 420 Festival in Atlanta, Ga continued into the third day with a high octane line up and the largest crowd the festival has ever seen. It was difficult moving around at times given the huge crowd, though nonetheless very enjoyable and full of southern hospitality. The music was anchored by The Trey Anastasio Band, Umphrey's McGee and Goose.

As a lover of the dancehall himself, this new riddim compilation titled Still Go A Dance, produced by Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley comes as no surprise. Singles like the title track Still Go A Dance by Christopher Ellis, or Capleton and Yami Bolo’s Chosen people stole audiences when they were released. Now, the entire compilation is available for purchase and streaming. In addition to the singles, A powerful new track by the legendary Beres Hammond titled Hold Yuh Corner, is among the compilation.

Country singer and actor Mickey Gilley, known for launching the Urban Cowboy movement in Country music and hit songs including "Stand By Me," "Room Full of Roses" and "Lonely Nights," died Saturday in Branson, Missouri.

Gilley was 86 and had just come off of the road, his favorite place, having played ten shows in April. He passed peacefully with his family and close friends by his side.

Los Angeles area based Yacht Rock band Yächtley Crëw have set sail on their 2022 ‘Anchors Up’ Tour and have ALSO released their very first ORIGINAL song, “Sex On The Beach.”

Los Angeles radio station, 95.5 KLOS, debuted the song this past weekend as the band performed it live on the very same day during their sold out show at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles on April 23rd.
