California’s ALO will be releasing their second EP of a series, Creatures, Vol. 2: Weave, on January 24th, 2020. The second single from Weave, “Ridin'”, is available on all digital services today. Fans can buy or stream the new track here: https://ffm.to/aloridin A YouTube link for embedding is below.
The band is also happy to answer the call from East Coast fans for shows in NY, MA, PA, VA and DC. Previously announced legs of their annual Tour D’Amour include headline dates in CA plus co-bills with Leftover Salmon in San Francisco, The Motet in Tahoe, Twiddle in the Pacific Northwest, and Tea Leaf Green in Denver. Ben Morrison (of The Brothers Comatose) will support the newly announced East Coast dates.
Ridin’ is a new Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz composition. Lebowitz relays: "The melody for Ridin' had been kickin' around inside my head for many years. A few days before we went into the studio this last time, it manifested into a song. I think that the line 'As long as we can get up and sing our song, there isn’t anything that can do us wrong', really gets to the heart of it. It's a song of optimism - the idea that putting energy into that which you really love will bear the sweetest of fruits!"
Weave features founding members Zach Gill (keys, vocals), Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz (guitars, vocals) and Steve Adams (bass, vocals), plus the band's newest member Ezra Lipp (drums, vocals). The four new tracks were engineered and mixed by long-time ALO collaborators Dave Simon-Baker and Mike Cresswell, with additional recording done by the band at home studios.
