The July 11th Rocking the Docks concert featured Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel and a local Lewes, DE-based band, the Fitzkee Brothers. The date marked the unofficial midpoint of the summer 2024 music series. The Fitzkee Brothers' opening set was well played, and the band welcomed many of their local friends in attendance. For the final song of their set, Duane Betts joined in for a rollicking version of ‘Southbound’.

Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel played a set that included a couple of Allman Brothers Band fan favorites, 'Jessica' and 'In Memory of Elizabeth Reed,' a blues traditional 'Hoochie Coochie Man,' and several original songs. The musicianship was excellent, and the synchronized twin guitar work on both 'Jessica' and 'Elizabeth Reed' was flawless and outstanding. The band played a great show and gave the audience a rocking good time.
