The Phases Of The Moon Music + Art Festival proudly announces the addition of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals to the inaugural event taking place September 11-14 at Kennekuk County Park outside Danville, IL. Following the recent cancellation of all tour dates for Bob Weir & Ratdog, who were scheduled to perform at the festival on Friday, September 12, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals have graciously stepped in to fill the spot. The acclaimed quintet will perform right before the evening headliner featuring the debut of Lunar Landing Conspiracy, a multi-sensory, guest filled collaboration curated by members The String Cheese Incident.
Phases of the Moon Founder Sam Shear says, “Upon hearing the news of Bob Weir & Ratdog, we had three things to consider. Who would be a great fit for our first festival? Who would give the fans an incredible show? And, of course, who could do it on such short notice?” Shear adds, “Grace Potter & The Nocturnals were at the top of that list and we are so excited and beyond grateful that they could make this happen, especially considering they have their own festival (http://www.grandpointnorth.com) that same weekend. To coin a phrase that ties in with Phases of the Moon, the planets have lined up.”
Grace Potter & The Nocturnals join an impressive lineup that includes headliners The String Cheese Incident and Widespread Panic, along with Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule, Leon Russell, Galactic, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Jackie Greene, Railroad Earth, Vintage Trouble, Donavon Frankenreiter, Sam Bush Band, Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers, Martin Sexton, Anders Osborne, Leftover Salmon with Bill Payne of Little Feat, Kung Fu, The California Honeydrops, Toubab Krewe, Mingo Fishtrap, Futurebirds, Artist-In-Residence David Gans and many more.
