This summer California will experience a co-creative festival unlike any it has seen before. Once Upon A Festival is happening June 12-14, 2015 at the swimmable East Park Reservoir in California's Central Valley. It is, at its core, a collaboration of members from some of the most nationally renown transformational festivals, Burning Man camps and production teams. The collective that has created One Upon A Festival is called Paradigm Shift Collaborations which combines curators and visionaries from Envision, Lucidity, Desert Hearts, Enchanted Forest, Antennae Presents, Raindance, Sacred Spaces, Hookahdome and Emmersion.
East Park Reservoir in Colusa County, CA, is on the west side of the Sacramento Valley, just three hours north of San Francisco. The breathtaking property features vast expanses of rolling hills with amazing trees, vegetation and a gorgeous beach on a huge swimmable lake. With such a beautiful lake at the disposal, Once Upon a Festival has created an innovative festival layout by building a floating stage and floating dance platforms for daytime parties in the water. Be it day or night, Once Upon a Festival will take participants on a visual voyage through different fantasy worlds with immersive art installations, galleries, stages and environments. They also have a 24/7 sound permit, perfect for dancing till the sunrise and beyond.
Once Upon A Festival is pleased to announce their 2015 Musical acts including Emancipator, SWTO, Sweater Beats, Random Rab, Dimond Saints, Coyote Kisses, Kalya Scintilla and Desert Dwellers and more. Desert Hearts is also bringing their whole Southern California crew comprised of Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Deep Jesus, Marbs & Porkchop as well as some close friends to round out their line-up.
Known for their installations at Burning Man and festivals all over the west coast, Hookadome and Sacred Spaces will be re-creating their epic, immersive art and decor. Lucidity festival will be bringing their Branches Mobile Art Gallery as well as live painters and arresting, visionary visual art to create their masterpieces throughout the festival. Enchanted Forest will be featuring the Nectar Temple, bringing a radical approach to healing and lounging. One of the truly fantastic features of Once Upon A Festival is its Faerie Tale theme, making it a place where you can engage your inner child in an awe-inspiring other-worldly realm. The festival will also feature performance art, yoga and healing, permaculture and sustainability workshops. Participation is at the core of Once Upon A Festival. From theme camps to costumes, participants will be rewarded for their personal creativity with prizes and bonuses.
