Today, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong announced a fourteen-stop 2021 fall tour. After a pair of shows at the historic Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY (10/14-10/15), the boisterous, Baltimore-based funk quartet will soar through the mid-atlantic region with a trio of Halloween shows that will not disappoint. On 10/29, the band will head to Washington DC’s The Anthem, followed by a stop at Stage AE in Pittsburgh on 10/30. To round out the weekend, P4 will deliver a Halloween performance in Columbus, Ohio, closing a 1,700-day window since their last trip to Express Live! Each show on the 10/29-10/31 run will receive Pigeons’ signature Halloween treatment - the flock can expect a trio of themed shows, featuring eclectic covers interspersed among the group’s high-energy setlists.
“I think one of the silver linings of this pandemic is all of our renewed appreciation for live music,” says singer/guitarist “Scrambled Greg” Ormont. “The bands, the fans, the venues, we're all rejuvenated and ready to unleash this energy. Honestly, as fired up as I am to get back on stage, I'm almost more excited to see how the crowd reacts to being back in our collective element. It's going to be a tour for the ages."
Tour continues for the funky foursome with their first-ever performance at Detroit’s Royal Oak Music Theatre (11/3) - the first of four consecutive inaugural stops at new venues. After their long-awaited premiere at the Egyptian Room in Indianapolis, (11/4), the band will explore St. Louis’ storied The Pageant (11/5), and Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater (11/6).
Following shows in Minneapolis (11/7) and Des Moines (11/9), Pigeons will play its second-ever show in Kansas City, Missouri at The Truman (11/10). Tour rolls on to colorful Colorado, beginning with an intimate appearance at Boulder’s Fox Theatre (11/12) for the first time since April 2016. Tour will conclude with a first-ever play at Denver’s Mission Ballroom (11/13). Fox Theatre tickets are only available as a package included with a purchase of Mission Ballroom tickets.
Supporting acts include Sunsquabi (10/29-10/31) and Neighbor (10/16). Magic Beans will join Pigeons for the remaining tour dates.
Fall tour tickets will be available via Artist Presale running Wednesday June 16th at 10am through Thursday June 17th at 10pm local time using the password FLOCK. General onsale will begin Friday June 18th at 10am local time, with the exception of Denver’s Mission Ballroom which will go on sale Friday at 12pm MT.
