Reed Foehl is pleased to announce a spring run that includes eight opening slots in April supporting fellow songwriting troubadour Todd Snider, and solo dates on the East Coast. Foehl, former front man of nineties jamband Acoustic Junction, is at work on his fifth solo album, tentatively titled “Color Me In” scheduled for release in Fall of 2012. Like 2009’s highly acclaimed release “Once An Ocean,” Foehl once again collaborated with producer & drummer John Rahman, and guitarist Jefferson Hamer. Recorded at Afterlife Studios in Vancouver BC, the album was recorded to tape, in a live setting, capturing the warmth of Foehl’s heartfelt voice and humble lyrical storytelling. Selections from “Color Me In” will be showcased at an album preview on April 13th at Swallow Hill Music in Denver, CO with special guests The Good Lovelies.

The eight show run supporting Snider, (who is touring behind his Mar. 6th release Agnostic Hymns & Stoner Fables) will start in Portland, OR on April 18th at The Aladdin Theater, followed by two nights in Seattle at the Triple Door, and hits venues in Spokane, Garden City (Boise), and Salt Lake City. The run with Snider will conclude in Foehl’s homebase of Colorado, on April 25th at Hodi’s Half Note in Fort Collins and April 26th in Boulder at the Boulder Theater. From Colorado, Foehl will venture to the East Coast, leading off with a show at Club Passim in his hometown of Boston for a co-bill with his brother Stewart Lewis; songwriter, children’s author and co-founder along with Foehl of Acoustic Junction. Other East Coast dates include Brooklyn, NYC, Washington DC, and Providence RI.

Steeped in the folk tradition, Foehl's lush tones and solid songs touch upon the raw truth of love and tragedy, without sinking into saccharine sentimentally or cold remove. Blending the warm touch of country folk with the edgy honesty intrinsic to modern songwriting, Foehl’s captivating performances and alluring, enduring songwriting make both his live show and studio work unique. His simple, powerful, direct compositions have caught the attention of fans nationwide through commercial radio airplay and placements for television. Along the way, Foehl has performed with the likes of Arlo Guthrie, Ray Lamontagne, The Be Good Tanyas, Dave Matthews, My Morning Jacket and many others.
