Today, Sierra Ferrell shares an alternative version of her song "Lighthouse," a plea to a potential lover that's been described as both "a hooky earworm" and "a possible hit roots single," wrote the Wall Street Journal. While the original recording is layered with strings and harmonies, this new rendition strips the arrangement down to just Sierra Ferrell's lead vocal and guitar, harkening back to the series of stark and striking solo performances that first transformed her from train-hopping vagabond to viral sensation.

"Lighthouse" is one of many highlights from Sierra Ferrell's Trail of Flowers LP, which just made her the biggest winner at last week's 2024 Americana Honors & Awards. Entering the night as the most-nominated musician, Ferrell earned top prizes for Artist of The Year and Album of The Year, cementing her rise as "the roots-music queen of the moment" (Variety).

In recent weeks, Sierra Ferrell has also released alternative versions of Trail of Flowers favorites like "American Dreaming" and "Dollar Bill Bar," in addition to acing her debut at NPR's Tiny Desk, collaborating with Post Malone, sharing bills with Mitski and Zach Bryan, and performing on TV screens and festival stages across the country.

Tomorrow, she makes a triumphant return to her hometown of Charleston, West Virginia, where the state will officially name September 28th as Sierra Ferrell Day. The declaration, signed by Charleston mayor Amy Goodwin and presented by West Virginia delegate Mike Pushkin (D - Kanawha, 054) will take place during her concert at Clay Center, culminating a sold-out tour of more than 45 dates.
