Swedish House Mafia Announce Final Auction For Black Tie Rave

Swedish House Mafia will hold a 3rd and final auction for tickets to their Black Tie Rave charity event being held Feb. 28th at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom. The newly released tickets will be up for auction starting Thursday, February 14th at 10am EST at ticketmaster.com with proceeds going to support the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund in support of hurricane Sandy relief efforts and Save the Children’s initiative to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in America, where nearly one in four lives in poverty. In the wake of the school massacre in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14th, the organization is calling for a National Commission on Children that will address the issues of violence, mental health and poverty. The first round of tickets were auctioned off in December and with under a third of the tickets sold, an astonishing $447,000 was raised and the second round earlier this month raised an additional $27,418. Legendary Pete Tong will fly in to support Swedish House Mafia at this special event alongside Carl Kennedy. In addition to the money raised by Black Tie Rave, all people guest listed on any date of the tour will be asked to make a donation to Save The Children.

The Swede’s highly anticipated One Last Tour is finally hitting stateside this week, kicking off tomorrow night with 5 shows at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Anticipation for One Last Tour has been building since the dates were announced last year. The originally announced U.S. dates all sold out in minutes causing the group to add multiple shows. One Last Tour has become one of the biggest tours of the year and is the group’s most extensive outing ever. It will visit Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, NYC, Los Angeles and come to a close in Miami at ULTRA where Swedish House Mafia will play their final gig together. The full line up for One Last Tour was revealed last month. Armand Van Helden will play his first NYC gig in five years when he joins the Swedes at Madison Square Garden on March 1st alongside the Legendary Pete Tong. Pete Tong and Carl Kennedy will play with Swedish House Mafia at their Feb. 28th Black Tie Rave charity event and Tong will also open for the Swedes at Barclay’s Center on March 2ndAN21, Anthony Atalla, Max Vangeli, NO_ID and Otto Knows will all open on select dates throughout the tour (full listing below).

In Los Angeles, the Swedes will build their massive 35,000 capacity Masquerade Motel on March 8th and 9th at the Los Angeles Historic Park. They will be joined by an all star line up spread over two stages which includes Alesso, Otto Knows, Mat Zo and Third Party playing the main stage and Nero (DJ Set), Sub Focus, Clockwork and Monsta in The Ballroom on March 8th. On March 9th, The Swedes will be joined again by Alesso on the main stage along with Zedd, AN21 & Max Vangeli & No ID with Sub Focus, Style of Eye, Clockwork and Monsta returning to The Ballroom. Fans can now purchase or upgrade existing GA tickets to a VIP package, aka know as “The Penthouse” which offers an exclusive entrance into the venue, VIP viewing area, private bathrooms, upgraded bar menu and a free mask. The VIP package is $175.00 or $75.00 to upgrade from an existing GA ticket.  All Masquerade Motel guests can also receive free METRO rides to and from the festival with their ticket. METRO riders will need to have at their receipt if picking up tickets at will call. The March 9th Masquerade Motel is sold out and tickets for the March 8th date are going quickly.

The massive One Last Tour outing started in November in Dubai and has made stops throughout India, Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia, Asia, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, South Africa, Australia and Mexico before reaching the states.  The final show at Ultra wil mark a significant milestone in the group’s career together as Ultra is where Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso played their first festival headline in North America just 3 years ago.  Since that momentous show, they have experienced a meteoric rise to become one of the world’s biggest live acts.

“Don’t You Worry Child” continues to grow in America as it reached #2 on the Top 40 airplay charts last week and is currently #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, both marking the group’s highest entry on each chart.  The platinum, Grammy-nominated hit is the lead single from the Swedes’ second compilation album ‘UNTIL NOW’ which was released on October 22nd and forms the official soundtrack to the group’s massive world-wide One Last Tour (www.onelasttour.com). The DYWC video has racked up over 57 million views to date.
