Formed in 2010 with a spirit of adventure that saw Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks shelve their equally successful solo careers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, an 11-piece tour-de-force, has quickly become the vanguard of modern roots music. Preparations are well underway for MerleFest 2015, presented by Window World, which officially begins next Thursday, April 23, at 2:30 p.m., and runs through Sunday, April 26, on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.

The Musebox today announced that Dallas rock and rollers Dead Flowers will embark on a highly anticipated tour this April and May. Dubbed the “bastard children of punk and Texas blues” by Dallas Observer, Dead Flowers are, according to frontman Corey Howe, “hungry to go about the traditional, organic way” of building their fanbase.
