Much to the excitement of music fans worldwide, Kinks legend Dave Davies will be releasing a new live album titled “Rippin Up New York City: Live at the City Winery” on September 4, 2015 on Red River which is distributed by Sony/RED. The recordings were culled from two exciting live performances by Dave and his band in NYC in November 2014.
Says Dave, “I'm very excited about the live album and the band sounds great. my son Simon did a great job helping me with the production. I look forward to seeing you all on the road this fall.”
The 2015 release of "Grateful Jazz", produced by Jeff Pevar, features world-renowed musicians such as Rod Morgenstein (Dixie Dregs), Jeff Pevar (Ray Charles, CSN, Joe Cocker, Phil Lesh, etc…) & Alphonso Johnson (Weather Report, Santana, etc…). Jazz is Dead begins their U.S. Tour on August 2, 2015 in LA, ending after 16 shows back in California again at the well-known, Sausalito Arts Festival on September 5.

To return to a point in your life that you have already lived is metaphysical. Déjà vu, as most of us call it, feels mystical, even if it has a chemical explanation. Scientific evidence aside, to relive something that you have lived before is an experience that seems to connect us with something beyond ourselves. Texas-based singer/songwriter Sarah Pierce announces an August 25 release date for her new CD, Barbed Wire, on the Little Bear Records imprint. Produced by Merel Bregante, Barbed Wire was musically influenced by her family’s heritage in the cattle business. The album was recorded at The Cribworks Digital Audio in Liberty Hill, Texas, about 30 miles north of Austin.

The Chris Robinson Brotherhood has just announced an additional 18 shows on their Fall 2015 tour, including three nights at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn and two shows at Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh. The CRB's now annual end of the year run through San Francisco occurs this year at The Fillmore for two nights.

Since the release of both their sophisticated Similar Skin album in 2014 and the elegant bonus album, London Sessions, which was produced at Abbey Road of last year, Umphrey’s McGee has begun to more frequently perform at up-scale venues across the Midwest. Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park is among one of these venues. It was the band’s third time appearing. The intimate and limited seating of the location led to a sold out show.
