In an ongoing effort to celebrate the musical accomplishments, extraordinary talent, community spirit, and creative soul of artists, Whippoorwill Arts is gearing up for the first-ever virtual Whippoorwill Arts Festival this August 29th and 30th.
Today, details for Follow The Light, a virtual music festival to be hosted August 29, 2020 – are unveiled. Produced by We Banjo 3 (WB3) as an ode to the band’s Irish heritage, the evening will feature musical performances by WB3, Gaelic Storm, Sharon Shannon, Nathan Carter and The East Pointers, with non-music festival features throughout the program.

We can’t gather together this year, so Pickathon is bringing their eclectic lineup to your house instead for Pickathon At Home. Running July 31 to August 2, 2020 (original festival dates), starting at 4pm PDT each day, Pickathon At Home will feature high-def, multi-camera livestreamed sets from past festivals by all-star artists, exclusive merch, and a place to gather across social media for the many Pickathon fans missing live music right now.
As the days have gone by, the staff at Borderland Music + Arts Festival have tirelessly navigated these ever-changing times, always holding onto hope for a festival in September of this year. As of today, every possible stone has now been turned and they are not able to deliver the full Borderland Festival experience under the current circumstances.
The Summer Camp Music Festival team is excited to officially release the confirmed artists to date for the 20th Anniversary celebration, which will now take place May 28th - 30th, 2021 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL. Sticking closely to the original lineup, organizers report that the majority of 2020’s acts have been confirmed for 2021, including headliners, Ween, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Billy Strings, Three Six Mafia, Rezz, STS9, and Tipper among others. As expected, longtime host bands of the fest, moe. and Umphrey’s McGee are also returning in 2021. The festival is still working through logistics with some artists, so they say to expect even more announcements and surprises in the coming months.
The Bay Area’s beloved Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is launching its new global and community-driven initiative Let the Music Play On to bring the spirit of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass to backyards and living rooms all over the world with a global broadcast taking place the weekend of October 2nd. In compliance with safety concerns and California’s statewide mandate against large public gatherings, the festival will not be taking place in its traditional setting of Golden Gate Park.
Pickathon has always been built for the digital age, with an army of audiovisual specialists, high-tech equipment, and a commitment to film not only every stage and performance, but secret video stages and extra performances each year. When Pickathon realized that the 2020 festival would have to be postponed due to COVID, they pivoted immediately and opened up their extensive vaults of content for a 100+ day fundraiser for MusiCares.
Danny Wimmer Presents has announced that Aftershock 2020, scheduled for October 9 – 11 at Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA, has been rescheduled to October 7 – 10, 2021, and has released the following statement:
