Organizers for the Home Grown Music Network 20th Anniversary Festival announced Wednesday the cancellation of the outdoor version of the event planned for this weekend at Harmony Stage in Mebane, North Carolina. The music collective is celebrating 20 years and needed to cancel the event due to the impending weather in order to provide safety for all patrons, artists and event staff.

Statement from Homegrown organizers:
"It is with our deepest regrets that we must cancel this weekend's Home Grown Music 20th Anniversary Festival.
Extreme wet weather has been hitting our state hard for more than the past week and with hurricane Joaquin expected to impact our weather even further this coming weekend, we feel that this could become a potentially life threatening situation and we have the highest regards for your safety.
This is a heartbreaking situation for us, so we ask that you please bear with us while we sort everything out. Full refunds will be available for those who purchased tickets in advance. Stay tuned for more instructions early next week."

Some of the artists set to perform at the event will now be doing so, only in smaller quarters, indoors at the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw, North Carolina. The contingency version of the festival features indoor cover with live sets from a slew of artists including BIG Something, Dangermuffin, Barefoot Manner and more. A two-night pass is going for $25, Thursday only is $10 and Friday only is $20. Homegrown organizers are still seeking a viable option for Saturday, asking patrons to stay tuned to the website & Facebook event page for more up-to-date information.
