After an impressive first year that boasted the likes of The Flaming Lips, Pretty Lights, Twin Shadow and Local Natives, SnowBall Music Festival will return to the  legendary Vail Valley this March for another year of extreme music, winter sports and fun. New additions to the lineup include performances by Snoop Dogg, The Kooks,  Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr, Gardens & Villa, Ghostland Observatory, Pictureplane, Dada Life, Mimosa, Princeton, DallasK and many more. They will join previously announced acts like  TV on the Radio,

The Ragbirds are in the midsts of a large national tour including stops in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraksa, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Iowa and back to their home state of Michigan before heading to their first showcase performance at SXSW. A band to watch in 2012, The Ragbirds just released their fourth studio release, Travelin' Machine, now available for review.

2012 offers us a lot of mystery, wonder, and spirituality. It induces the end of a great cycle, which brings upon the rebirth of the world to a higher level of consciousness, according to the Maya. Great cycle changes can cause a huge amount of turmoil and change. But, it is all for our greater good.

Last night the famous Fox Theater hosted a band that has been rapidly finding fame of their own.  Or should we say…infamy? Drawing in an audience from the blustery Boulder wind, The Infamous Stringdusters, warmed us up with a set that left us with no doubt why their ascension to the top of the bluegrass charts has been so rapid.
