January 2013

One of the most daring and influential artists of our time, Yoko Ono, will be celebrating her eightieth birthday with a music performance at the legendary Volksbühne in Berlin on Sunday, February 17. YOKO ONO PLASTIC ONO BAND will be led by her son, Sean Ono Lennon, who collaborated with Yoko on her 2009 critically-acclaimed record, Between My Head And The Sky.

John Driskell Hopkins has walked the musical path for the last 20 years.

On yet another unusually warm January weeknight in Fayetteville, AR, Brooklyn-based Eliot Lipp played an energetic, upbeat show. The crowd was a bit sparse, likely due to the fact that it’s a new year (people make resolutions to save money, not go out, etc.) and the show was on a weeknight. But unlike some much larger shows, it seemed each person who bought a ticket to the show was there for the music.

Steve Kimock and his friends Bernie Worrell (Parliament/Funkadelic, Talking Heads), Wally Ingram (David Lindley, Sheryl Crow) and Andy Hess (Gov't Mule) will bop around the Northeast in February.
