Trampled by Turtles are from Duluth, Minnesota, where frontman Dave Simonett initially formed the group as a side project in 2003. At the time, Simonett had lost most of his music gear, thanks to a group of enterprising car thieves who'd ransacked his vehicle while he played a show with his previous band. Left with nothing more than an acoustic guitar, he began piecing together a new band, this time taking inspiration from bluegrass, folk, and other genres that didn't rely on amplification.

Renowned Baltimore jam-funk quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong has announced plans for an extensive Spring Tour spanning both coasts and bringing along up-and-coming bands across numerous genres.

Singer-Songwriter Brendan James has been on the road for years.  On every musical stop he makes around the country; the avid outdoorsman makes a point to work a hike into his busy travel schedule -- giving him an opportunity to enjoy the natural world around him and the diverse landscapes found across the United States.

The Bad Ends will release their debut album, The Power and the Glory, on January 20th via New West Records. The nine-song set was produced by Mike Albanese of Maserati and The Bad Ends in the band’s hometown of Athens, GA, a city that remains a breeding ground for all things alternative (and is the famous homebase of B-52’s, R.E.M, Pylon, The Elephant Six Recording Company, The Glands, and more).
