May 2023

As the weekend went on the temperatures got hotter, and so did the talent at Boston Calling 2023. Two fantastic days of music, featuring performers such as the Foo Fighters, the Lumineers, Alanis Morrisette, and The National, have already gone by, and now tens of thousands of people return to the Harvard University Athletic Complex to see what Sunday has in store for them.

Day two of Boston Calling offered a refreshing roster of eclectic, diverse, and "can't-miss" musical acts. The day featured talented local musicians, including NeeMz, a Palestinian-American multidisciplinary artist based in Boston, who kicked off the day on the Red Stage. The Q-Tip Bandits followed shortly on the Blue Stage, where their rollicking set had the audience dancing and singing along. From there, it was off to the races with crowd-rousing tunes from Utah-based The Aces, and beautiful, tight sets from Joy Oladokun and Mt.

After two pandemic years off, Boston Calling returned to the Harvard Athletic Complex in 2022. Building off of last year’s success, the festival continues to grow even bigger in 2023. On a mild sunny afternoon, tens of thousands of people descended upon Boston on Friday, for the first day of the event.

With his new album, Let All Who Will, acclaimed Los Angeles singer and songwriter Chris Pierce delivers a powerful set of songs that amplify unheralded voices and aim to bring us together across the bitter trenches that divide us. Pierce’s new album is a follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2021 acoustic album, American Silence, which was heralded as a masterpiece of protest folk songwriting by folks at NPR, Rolling Stone, and many more.
