The Expendables, California's highly respected rock-surf band, is set to release their first full-length acoustic studio album, Gone Soft on May 15th, 2012. Gone Soft will allow fans to experience the stripped down and unplugged version of The Expendables. The album successfully displays the band's technical music skills, taking their powerhouse rock songs and re-arranging them to highlight a softer side of fan-favorite classic songs. Gone Soft features songs off their past albums, including "Bowl For Two," "Trying to Focus," "Positive Mind" and many more.
"After years of fans asking for an acoustic album, we finally delivered. While the album is almost entirely acoustic instruments, it is just as stylistically diverse and quirky as the rest of our discography. We wanted this to feel like a new album which is why we experimented with different tempos, melodies, and instrumentation while recording music that spans our entire career to date," says Raul of The Expendables.
To celebrate their release, The Expendables will head out on their Southwest Gone Soft Tour featuring special guests Unwritten Law from May 18 - May 26, 2012. Hitting Anaheim, Solana Beach, Ventura, CA and Tempe, AZ, the shows will include both acoustic and electric sets from The Expendables and Unwritten Law. Joining them will be acoustic veteran Josh Fischel of the formerly known Bargain Music and DJ Unite from Tribe of Kings.
The Expendables have become a band synonymous with their powerful and energetic live performances, enhanced by dual guitar riffs, solid bass lines and dominating drumbeats.
All pre-sale ticket holders will receive a free download sampler of a collection of tracks from each band on the tour. For more information, please visit: http://www.theexpendables.
