Liquid Sky is the San Francisco Bay Area's premier Jimi Hendrix tribute band. Fred Mabunga (Founder and Frontman) formed this tribute out of his love and passion for Jimi's music.
The band has evolved with its members since its founding in 2011, and this lineup is the best yet. Currently, Steve Tamer on bass keeps those groovy bass lines flowing somewhere between Noel Redding and Billy Cox. Jimmy Perez is currently filling the role of Mitch Mitchell on the drums, laying down the groove and coming close to replicating Mitch's unmistakable style. After many years of searching, Liquid Sky has finally found the perfect match.
Catch them live, and of course, you’ll hear all the hits such as "Fire," "Red House," "Voodoo Child," and "Purple Haze." But if you catch one of their longer sets, you’ll hear deeper cuts like "Burning of the Midnight Lamp," "Little Miss Lover," "Dolly Dagger," and "Freedom" that will satisfy even the most hardcore Hendrix fans. It is Liquid Sky’s mission to keep Jimi’s music alive and introduce it to generations to come.
Babylon Gypsies is a hard rock power trio from Northern California that plays classic, original hard rock in the vein of the '70s and early '80s.
