Molly Tuttle, already a four-time International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Award–winner, is nominated in five categories for the 2022 IBMAs: Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year (Crooked Tree), Female Vocalist of the Year, Guitar Player of the Year and Instrumental Group of the Year (Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway). The ceremony will be held Thursday, September 29 at Raleigh’s Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

The nominations add to a landmark year for Tuttle, who released her acclaimed new album, Crooked Tree, earlier this spring via Nonesuch Records (Tuttle’s first release on the label, stream/purchase here). Produced by Tuttle and Jerry Douglas and recorded live at Nashville’s Oceanway Studios, Crooked Tree explores Tuttle’s love of bluegrass, which she discovered through her father and her grandfather, a banjo player. The record also features collaborations with Sierra Hull, Old Crow Medicine Show, Margo Price, Billy Strings, Dan Tyminski and Gillian Welch.
