Steve Kimock gets back to his Bay Area roots with a very special line-up of old and new FRIENDS. SK&F, Kimock's feel-good side project for more than a decade, will rehearse and perform in Northern CA from March 9-16, 2008.
Kimock is basing the group around an old friend, the Great, Melvin Seals on B-3 organ and keyboards, along with prodigal son, John Morgan Kimock on drums. Joining them are, veteran Bay Area bassist and Bonnie Raitt Band music director, Hutch Hutchinson and singer/songwriter Billy Goodman, of the Goodman Brothers, the band that first brought Kimock West to the Bay Area in the mid 70s.
Fans will be treated to new songs, being incubated in the Kimock laboratory, known as the performance stage, as well renewed renditions of acclaimed Kimock standards and covers.
