This June 16th - 18th, the Vail Valley will become a hub for craft beer enthusiasts as brewers and connoisseurs kick off the inaugural Vail Craft Beer Classic. With over 300 beers, dozens of events, yoga, hiking, and all the offerings of Colorado’s vast outdoor playground, fans of the craft should be ready for a mountain weekend full of brews and adventure.
Festivities commence on the evening of Friday, June 16th with the Classic Kickoff Celebration, a grand tasting at Eagle’s Nest in Vail featuring beers from over 20 exclusively Colorado-based breweries paired with barbeque from the grill-masters of Vail Resorts.
Saturday, June 17th will offer a variety of day trips, events, and activities for every type of active mountain enthusiast. From a guided fly fishing trip on the world-renowned Eagle River, to breathtaking hikes, road bike rides, and downhill bike rides, participants can spend the morning immersed in their favorite mountain sport followed by an inclusive lunch and beer pairing. Later that afternoon marks the biggest and most ambitious tasting of the weekend - the Toast of Vail - where breweries from across the country will show off their signature creations alongside Vail’s best restaurants for an afternoon of bites, bluegrass, and a beer experience unlike any other. Topping off the evening, the Vail Craft Beer Classic will curate a free concert in the Solaris Plaza featuring live performances by Gipsy Moon and Head For The Hills.
For the weekend warriors who aren’t quite ready to head down the mountain, the Classic spills into Sunday with Nama’stay for a Beer, an outdoor morning yoga class and a cold one with Brooke Larson of @Beeryoga. Treat Dad to a morning out at the Father’s Day Beerunch, an all-you-can-eat brunch for the whole family, complete with breakfast beers, beermosas, bloody marys, and stunning views from the patio of the Sonnenalp Resort.
Breathtaking views, endless outdoor possibilities, exquisite local cuisine, and charming mountain town culture make the Vail Valley an international destination for mountain adventure in all forms. Discounts on local lodging in Vail will be available on the Vail Craft Beer Classic website.
The Vail Craft Beer Classic is the latest creation of Denver’s Team Player Productions, who have produced countless attractions including the Breckenridge Wine Classic, Divide Music Festival, and the 2017 Denver People’s Fair. Their continuing dedication to producing world-class events will be shown in full-force this June in Vail.
