This June 16th through 18th, the Vail Craft Beer Classic kicks off as a perfect mountain getaway for beer enthusiasts, foodies, and outdoor adventure-seekers from across the western region. With three days of craft beer tastings, pairings, meals, and workshops alongside high-altitude activities like guided hikes, bike rides, fly fishing trips and yoga, the Vail Craft Beer Classic offers an experience expertly curated for purveyors of Colorado’s active lifestyle.
The seasoned event organizers at Team Player Productions sought to create a beer fest like nothing else on earth. The resulting Vail Craft Beer Classic is an event that not only celebrates craft beer and delicious cuisine, but also embraces the health-conscious elements that make brewing such a pervasive and integral piece of the Colorado culture. Trendsetters like yoga instructor Brooke Larson offer an opportunity to integrate beer-drinking and mindful fitness with her popular Beer Yoga class, a.k.a. “Nama’stay For A Beer," scheduled on Sunday the 18th at the Vail Craft Beer Classic.
Brooke isn’t the only one exploring the health benefits of beer. Research has shown that the carbonation and carbohydrate content actually makes beer a better option for hydration and calorie replacement than water or Gatorade. The Vail Craft Beer Classic lets attendees take advantage of this fact by ensuring that the exceptional outdoor adventure activities at the festival all involve crackin’ open a cold brew. Attendees can join the Bikes and Barley road bike ride to the top of Vail Pass or the Bikes and Barley mountain bike ride up the picturesque trails of Vail mountain, both followed by a gourmet lunch and craft beer pairing. Also on the schedule is the Hike and Hops trek with the brewmaster followed by a paired lunch prepared by Executive Chef Ryan DeBoard from the Vail Chophouse and a guided fly fishing trip followed by a gourmet picnic lunch and beers - hilariously named Pretty Fly for a Pint Guy.
Tickets for the Vail Craft Beer Classic are on sale now at vailcraftbeerclassic.com along with a complete list of events and participating breweries. The event benefits the Vail Valley Mountain Bike Association whose mission is to preserve and maintain the vast number of trails serviced by mountain bikers and hikers in the Vail Valley.
